As computer systems become larger and more complex, forensics is playing an increasingly important role in making businesses more secure. As the recent Solar Winds breach revealed, it’s not always just about detecting data loss or preventing hackers from getting in in the first place. In cases where a network has already been breached, a thorough investigation is often the only way to determine what happened, whether a breach is still active, and whether a malicious hacker can strike again.
