GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A new task force comprised of business, education and community leaders is developing a plan to improve and grow the technology sector in West Michigan.

The task force is led by The Right Place, a Grand Rapids-based economic development company, and is jointly led by Gentex CEO Steve Downing and Davenport University President Rick Papas. A ten-year plan, expected to be released in March, will outline strategies to create and retain a skilled workforce, encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, and help businesses grow.
