Broadcom AVGO stock is in focus on Friday after it said Amie Thuener will take over as chief financial officer on June 12.

Thuener currently serves as vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer at Alphabet, a role she has held since 2018. She will join Broadcom on May 4 before stepping into the CFO position.

The chipmaker’s outgoing finance chief, Kirsten Spears, is retiring after 12 years with the company. Spears plans to remain as an advisor for nine months following the transition, with her outstanding equity awards continuing to vest during that period.

Thuener’s compensation package includes an annual base salary of $700,000 and a target bonus of 100% of that amount. She is also set to receive a $1 million cash sign-on bonus along with restricted and performance stock units under Broadcom’s 2012 stock incentive plan, subject to approval and continued employment.

The leadership change comes as Broadcom looks to maintain continuity in its finance operations….
