Broadcom Introduces Latest Innovations for VMware Cloud Foundation

Broadcom recently unveiled the latest updates to VMware Cloud Foundation, a cutting-edge private cloud platform designed to support digital innovation with enhanced infrastructure modernization, developer productivity, and cybersecurity. The new release includes features such as VCF import, vSAN Max and vSAN ESA support, VCF Edge for edge use cases, and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid as a standalone service. These advancements aim to streamline application deployment and management, optimize infrastructure, and boost security and resilience. VCF also offers improved networking capabilities, including rapid setup and configuration, self-service load balancing, and enhanced NSX virtual networking. Additionally, new security features such as ESXi Live Patching, vSAN Data Protection, and VMware vDefend Lateral Security provide increased integrity, availability, and protection against threats. VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 and VMware vSphere Foundation 5.2 are expected to be available in Broadcom’s fiscal third quarter of fiscal year 2024.
