The British government has opened an in-depth investigation into Nvidia’s takeover of British tech company Arm for national security reasons and has thrown another hurdle in the path of the $ 54 billion deal.

Digital and Culture Minister Nadine Dorries has ordered a phase 2 investigation into the transaction out of public interest, which means that it will now be subject to a comprehensive investigation into antitrust and security issues.
