Similar to one of Blizzard’s most iconic characters, players may also want to change their name across the various Blizzard worlds. Now all players have the option to do this for free – but only once.
In memory Overwatchresident cowboy get a new identity, Blizzard is offering all Battle.net users the opportunity to change their BattleTag for free. Between today and November 5th, all players who do not currently have a free name change saved on their account will be able to use one via. apply for Blizzard’s Name Change Service.
After players use their free BattleTag change, all subsequent changes will cost $ 10. If players don’t have to use the free name change they get when they create their account, they won’t get any more. Blizzard advises on its forums that these requests can take up to four weeks to process and the names requested must adhere to Blizzard’s naming guidelines or they will be declined.
BattleTags are the way players can express themselves in Blizzard’s various games, including Overwatch, Hearthstone, and World of Warcraft. Although some of these titles may require players to enter in-game names, BattleTags allow them to connect and play with friends, and access chats, communities, and groups through the Battle.net launcher and mobile application.
Blizzard has the official new name of today. announced OverwatchRecognizable cowboy after issues related to the former Blizzard employee the character was named after. He will now be known as Cole Cassidy and this will be reflected in the game starting October 26th.
