Bhavish Aggarwal Moves Ola to Krutrim Technology from Microsoft Azure

Ola CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, announced that the company has shifted its workload from Microsoft Azure to its own Krutrim cloud. This move comes after Aggarwal had previously stated that Ola would no longer be using Microsoft Azure’s services. In a tweet, he confirmed that all workloads are now on the Krutrim cloud and that the company will be helping others transition to their own Indian cloud services. Over 2,500 developers have already signed up for this transition.

Aggarwal has been critical of Microsoft in recent times, especially after his post on LinkedIn criticizing the AI’s use of pronouns to describe him. He expressed his disapproval of what he called the “pronoun disease” and stated that India does not need to adopt Western ideologies on inclusivity. He reiterated that Indian culture has existed inclusively for thousands of years without the need for such practices.

In addition to the cloud transition, Aggarwal also called on the Indian developer community to create a digital public infrastructure social media framework. He emphasized the importance of developing technology that aligns with Indian values and cultural norms.

Overall, Bhavish Aggarwal’s decision to move Ola’s workload to its own cloud reflects his commitment to promoting Indian-centric technology solutions and resisting external influences. By encouraging developers to embrace homegrown technologies and values, Aggarwal is positioning Ola as a pioneer in the Indian tech industry.
