Benji Hutchinson chair
Benji Hutchinson, President of the US federal government of NEC Corp., has been named chairman of the Security Industry Association’s Identity and Biometric Technology Advisory Board, while Jim Black, a director at Microsoft, will be its vice chairman.
The couple will drive IBTAB’s efforts to support the association’s campaign for the use of biometric and digital identification tools and oversee collaboration with critical government and commercial infrastructure operators, SIA said on Friday.
Hutchinson brings two decades of experience in biometrics, computer vision, biometrics and IT to its new capacity.
Prior to NEC, he was Head of Government Accounts at MorphoTrust USA and spent some time with the US Army Biometrics Task Force and the Undersecretary’s Office for Defense.
