The public preview of the ExpressRoute guided portal experience has been announced, making it easier for users to configure resilient ExpressRoute circuits at multiple sites and connect them to a virtual network gateway. This new experience provides valuable information such as the distance between pairing locations (sites) and traffic engineering recommendations, enabling customers to make well-informed configuration decisions. To access the guided portal experience during the preview period, users can utilize the Azure portal flight link. Currently, this experience is only available globally in the Azure public cloud.
The public preview of the guided portal experience includes features such as configuring multi-site resiliency ExpressRoute circuits, setting up standard single-site resiliency ExpressRoute circuits and expanding them for multi-site resiliency, connecting resilient multi-site ExpressRoute circuits to a VNet gateway, and enhancing resiliency across multiple sites by connecting standard ExpressRoute circuits to a VNet gateway.
Users can also watch the Guided portal experience for circuit creation and learn how to connect circuits to a virtual network gateway. This new feature streamlines the process of setting up ExpressRoute circuits and ensures that users have the necessary information and recommendations to create resilient configurations. Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements to the guided portal experience as the public preview continues.
