In the world of Amazon Web Services (AWS), the AWS Summit season is in full swing with recent events in Bengaluru, Seoul, and Berlin. One of the keynote speakers at the Seoul Summit was Channy Yun. The latest releases from AWS include changes to the pricing model for Amazon S3, the introduction of Amazon EC2 C7i-flex Instances, and added support for IPv6 in Application Load Balancer.

Amazon S3 will no longer charge for multiple HTTP error codes, addressing a customer concern about being charged for API requests they did not initiate. The new Amazon EC2 C7i-flex Instances offer better price performance compared to previous versions, powered by custom 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors available only on AWS. Application Load Balancer now supports exclusive IPv6 support for Internet clients, allowing clients to connect using IPv6 without incurring IPv4 charges.

Additionally, Amazon VPC Lattice now supports TLS Passthrough, enabling end-to-end authentication and encryption using existing TLS or mTLS implementations. Amazon DocumentDB now has zero ETL integration with Amazon OpenSearch Service, providing advanced search capabilities for DocumentDB documents. Amazon EventBridge now supports customer managed keys for event buses, offering more granular security control over events.

Other AWS news includes a post on email reputation management by Dustin Taylor from Amazon SES and a Twitch show on generative AI hosted by Tiffany and Darko. AWS Open Source News and Updates are highlighted in a weekly open source newsletter by Richard.

Upcoming AWS events include AWS Summits in various cities, AWS re: Apply for immersive learning on cloud security, and AWS Community Days featuring technical discussions and workshops around the world.

Overall, AWS continues to innovate and provide new services and updates to meet the needs of its customers. Stay tuned for more exciting developments in the world of Amazon Web Services.
