AWS Summit sees Amazon introducing guardrails to its AI enterprise solutions



Amazon held its AWS Summit in New York to showcase its latest work in generative AI, emphasizing developer productivity and security in their keynote address. One highlight was the unveiling of Application Studio, a platform that allows users to build apps using natural language descriptions. Updates to Amazon Q were also announced, including availability in Sagemaker and new features for developers. Furthermore, enhancements to Amazon Bedrock were revealed, such as fine-tuning models and adding new data sources. The company also introduced new capabilities for agents and implemented contextual grounding checks to reduce harmful outcomes. Responsible AI initiatives were also discussed, along with the launch of AI Ready, a free cloud computing training program. Amazon surpassed its goal of training 29 million people globally, reaching 31 million by July 2024.
