The training and certification branch of Amazon Web Services will host a series of workshops starting Friday to provide an overview of the basic security concepts of the company’s cloud computing platform for US government customers.
AWS said on Monday its four-module course entitled “Introduction to Governance and Compliance in AWS GovCloud (US) Regions” tries to educate attendees about access control and other functions to protect sensitive government data in the cloud.
The company plans to conduct live training courses quarterly after the first workshop is completed, which will include two demonstrations in the console.
People who want to learn more about governance and compliance in GovCloud (US) regions, or people who have a traditional data-centric view of computers, are invited to attend the event.
