Amazon Web Services Inc. today announced the general availability of Amazon Lookout for Metrics, a machine learning service that enables organizations to identify and respond to critical business events such as a sudden surge in user logins.

With the service, AWS aims to address a number of technical challenges that typically make such business monitoring difficult.

The first is the problem that important events go undetected due to visibility gaps. Typically, organizations recognize business changes by configuring an analytics system to generate an alert when a certain condition is met, such as: B. when the daily product turnover falls below a certain predetermined level.
