AWS Launch Wizard introduces API and Cloudformation template support for programmatic deployments

AWS Launch Wizard now allows customers to deploy workloads to AWS programmatically using the API or CloudFormation templates. This feature includes built-in automation and best practice recommendations. Customers can now deploy third-party applications like SQL Server – SingleNode, HA or FCI, SAP, and all supported workloads via AWS Launch Wizard APIs or CloudFormation resources. This new option complements the existing console-based experience. Additionally, AWS Launch Wizard offers APIs for retrieving application specifications, simplifying the deployment process.

AWS Launch Wizard streamlines the sizing, configuration, and deployment of AWS resources for third-party applications such as Microsoft SQL Server Always On and HANA-based SAP systems. This eliminates the need for manual identification and provisioning of individual AWS resources. The service is available in 29 regions worldwide, including US East, Europe, South America, US West, Canada, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Spain, Zurich, China, and AWS GovCloud (US) regions. To learn more about AWS Launch Wizard, visit the Launch Wizard page on the AWS website. For step-by-step guidance, refer to the Startup Wizard User Guide and the API Page.
