Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the “general availability” of Amazon HealthLake, a HIPAA-enabled offering that helps healthcare and life sciences companies collect, retain, search, and learn from large amounts of health data to win, according to a Thursday (July 15th) announcement.

“More and more of our healthcare and life sciences customers want to organize and understand their data, but find the process challenging and cumbersome,” said Swami Sivasubramanian, vice president of Amazon Machine Learning for AWS AWS in the announcement. “We designed Amazon HealthLake to take this heavy lifting off of healthcare organizations so they can take health data to the cloud in minutes and begin securely analyzing that information at scale.”
