General Dynamics Information Technology has added Amazon Web Services’ cloud services to the Department of Defense’s milCloud 2.0.
Now AWS is the only other commercial cloud service deployed under GDIT-operated milCloud 2.0 – a suite of hybrid cloud services housed under the Defense Information Systems Agency.
GDIT added AWS to deliver “leading cloud services” to defense customers and increase the availability of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning for DOD data.
MilCloud 2.0 is a DOD-specific cloud service that DISA has been operating for military services and fourth estate agencies since 2015.
