Amazon Web Services’ channel chief Doug Yeum is leaving the AWS Partner Network (APN) to work for parent company Amazon.com’s retail business.
Yeum’s unnamed successor is expected to join AWS on November 22, according to an email sent to AWS employees by Matt Garman, senior vice president of sales and marketing. However, Yeum will not officially take up his new role until December 6th after the conclusion of the AWS re: Invent 2021 conference for partners and customers in Las Vegas, where he will hold the keynote address for the partner program.
CRN contacted AWS but hadn’t heard anything at press time.
“Doug was kind enough to give me some time to make a seamless transition that has allowed us to explore the market and find a great leader to help us continue to scale the partner business,” Garman said in the E -Mail to the staff. “The new leader will join us on November 22nd, and I look forward to sharing more details with you.”
