It’s always sticky Organizations predict what’s going to happen in technology because who knows what’s going on behind the scenes or what’s next.

For example, would you have thought that Salesforce would be spending nearly $ 28 billion buying Slack by the end of 2020? Or that Jeff Bezos would resign at Amazon in 2021 with a domino effect when Andy Jassy switched to his role and Adam Selipsky returned after a stint at Tableau to take on Jassy’s old job as head of AWS?

I sure didn’t see this coming, and I’ll bet most people didn’t. The tech world moves so fast it can be hard to keep up with.

We didn’t use the terms Metaverse and Web3 (all lowercase) and then, in 2021, all of a sudden we were. If you had told me that blockchain would come back in a big way in 2021, or if Facebook changed its name to meta, I would have laughed in your face. But here we are.
