Pension giant Aware Super will spend US$300 million ($460 million) to acquire a minority stake in the Asia-Pacific arm of US firm Vantage Data Centers, increasing its exposure to the investment boom in artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Vantage Data Centers APAC owns 10 data centers in Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Hong Kong and leases space to so-called hyperscale cloud computing providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and Google, as well as emerging AI companies.
