Fueled by the rise of realistic, voice-generated artificial intelligence sales pitches, Operata, an Australian software startup used by some of the world’s largest software companies to monitor their call centers, has reached a $100 million valuation following a new round of funding.
The start-up, founded by New Zealander Romilly Blackburn and Australians John Mitchem and Andy Scott, has developed software that monitors and tests a company’s call center to identify problems. The seven-year-old company is now used by some of the largest companies in the world, from Salesforce and Adobe to major banks like Barclays.
