The Australian Government Solicitor (AGS), a group within the Attorney-General’s Department (AGD), is reaching out to suppliers to request information about AI solutions to support its research, legal tools and practice operations.

AGS is the Australian Government’s central legal services provider, with offices in every capital city and around 800 employees – including around 570 lawyers, covering around 40 different government-related legal areas.

AGS said in a request for information (RFI) document on AusTender that it is seeking information about AI tools that will complement its existing available research and legal tools and provide opportunities to improve productivity in legal practice workflows.

The various features AGS expects from the solution include authoring and summarizing documents; reporting, planning and tracking of business operations; customer service and business development; and intelligent search.
