Arrival of Intel’s Latest Arc Battlemage GPU Lineup Imminent – Signs Hint at BMG X2 and BMG X3 GPUs being the First to Ship

According to leaked shipping manifests, Intel’s upcoming desktop PC line, known as Battle Mage, will feature high-end versions with 32 Xe2 cores and slightly slower versions with 28 Xe2 clusters. These new products are expected to be part of Intel’s next-generation Arc ‘Battlemage’ lineup, which is set to be unveiled in the coming months.

The shipping manifests also revealed that Intel is currently shipping test tools for its Battlemage GPUs to various countries, including the BMG X2 and BMG X3 tools. The BMG X3 tool is associated with a GPU codenamed Churchill Falls, which features 448 execution units. This suggests that Churchill Falls is likely a cut-down version of Intel’s flagship discrete GPU with 32 Xe2 cores.

The leaked documents also mention three Battlemage GPUs: the BMG-G10, BMG-G21, and BMG-G31. The BMG-G10 is expected to be a high-end graphics card, while the BMG-G21 is likely aimed at entry-level users. The BMG-G31, on the other hand, is shrouded in mystery, but Intel’s design tools webpage confirms its existence, hinting at its development.

The BMG-G31 is rumored to come in a 3283-ball grid array (BGA3283) package, indicating that it could be Intel’s new flagship GPU with a wide memory bus and advanced power delivery circuitry. Comparatively, Intel’s ACM-G10, which powers the Arc A770/A750/A580 graphics cards, uses a 2660-ball BGA package. This suggests that the BMG-G31 will require more power and offer a broader memory bus than its predecessors.

While specific details about the BMG-G31 are scarce, it is expected to outperform the BMG-G10 and BMG-G21 models due to its enhanced power requirements and memory bus capabilities. Intel has yet to confirm the exact specifications of the BMG-G31, but it is anticipated to be a significant addition to the company’s Battlemage GPU lineup.
