Optus has announced a partnership with Cisco to provide managed secure edge services and secure firewall technology to its enterprise and business customers. This will also include additional capabilities such as vulnerability management, advanced email security, identity intelligence, and threat hunting.
In addition to these services, Optus will offer 24/7 security monitoring to protect connections, systems, and data for its customers. Cisco’s Talos Intelligence Group will provide cyber incident response services to support these offerings, with more services to be added throughout the multi-year partnership.
According to Danny Price, vice president of customer services and delivery at Optus, 37% of Australians regularly work remotely, making the need for secure edge services and robust firewall technology more important than ever.
