ARK Invest picked up shares of Nvidia and Broadcom on Monday as both chipmakers retreated, while offloading roughly $36.8 million in Deere stock — the day’s biggest individual transaction — per the firm’s daily fund disclosures.
ARK founder and CEO Cathie Wood purchased 122,422 Nvidia shares worth about $26.6 million across five of the firm’s exchange-traded funds. Nvidia stock fell 2.86% on Monday following reports that the chipmaker is working with a group of major financial firms — including Apollo Global, Blackstone, BlackRock, Brookfield Asset Management, Goldman Sachs, and KKR — to arrange more than $500 billion in financing for AI infrastructure projects, according to TipRanks. Investors responded with unease over the potential for circular financing and the broader financial exposure that could come with Nvidia taking on a more central role in bankrolling AI buildout.
