In the beginning, picking up a takeout meal was the epitome of a relaxing night. Then delivery apps saved even more energy. Now consumers can’t even bother reading the menu as AI takes over choosing the perfect dinner.

Just Eat is launching an AI voice assistant that allows customers to discuss what they want to eat and then gives them personalized recommendations.

The food delivery company is launching what it calls a “personal food concierge” within Just Eat’s existing chat feature on its UK app on Tuesday.

The voice assistant is designed to understand customers’ every culinary desire, even if it involves a “wandering stream of consciousness.”

“No matter how you ask, you’ll get exactly what you crave,” the company said. “Assistant cuts through the noise to deliver accurate and meaningful answers.”
