The Apple Store is offline in the US and most – but not all – areas of the world.

That Online Apple Store currently displays the familiar “We’ll be right back” notice, along with the information that “Updates are coming to the Apple Store”. Unusually, however, the store is not offline worldwide.

At the time of writing, the US, Australia, the UK, and major European countries show variations of the “Check again soon” message. But the store in other regions including China, Japan and New Zealand works normally.

There are no Apple products to be added through an announced pre-order release. It’s conceivable that Apple will add something unannounced, but it’s unlikely since the store hasn’t shut down globally.

The US Apple Store contains products, such as certain accessories, that are not available elsewhere. However, unless it’s due to maintenance issues, it’s very likely that Apple is about to unveil a promotion.

Apple is currently offering a promotion in China that will run until the end of Monday, August 1, 2022 rare discounts on many products.
