Apple has released a new “Music Will Change” teaser in the Music app, which indicates the upcoming “Hi-Fi” level for Apple’s music streaming service.

“Get Ready – Music Will Change Forever”

For a while now there have been rumors that Apple has been working on a new “Hi-Fi” layer of Apple Music, and some leaks also suggest that Spatial Audio supports the streaming service as well.

Apple put these rumors aside a bit and released a new teaser in the Browse section of the Music app that simply goes: Get ready – music will change forever. Given that the rumored launch of the Hi-Fi tier is slated for May 18th alongside that AirPods 3It makes sense that this teaser is already live.

At this point, information about the new level is extremely scarce. We don’t know if Apple charges additional fees for the HiFi tier, what hardware it is supported on, or if it’s a completely free upgrade for anyone who has subscribed to Apple Music.

If I wanted to make a wild guess at this point, I believe AirPods 3 will be key to the entire experience, including the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Streaming that supports 3D audio functions.

Given the alleged announcement date on the 18th of this month, which is literally a day away, we will have more details about that day. In the meantime, feel free to speculate on what Apple has in store for all of us.
