Apple stands out among its competitors as the big tech giant that primarily makes things you can hold in your hand. This is a clear advantage in some respects; People need portals to enter the digital world, and fortunately Apple has made billions of them and reaped the rewards.
But according to Bloomberg’s Apple leak collector Mark Gurman, the C-suite at Apple is starting to see this as a problem, and you’ll be shocked when I tell you why. Haha, I’m just kidding you. He says it’s because of the AI.
In Gurman’s latest “Power On” column, he tries to make a case against the primacy of gadgets, then claims, “The company’s senior executives understand this and secretly wonder whether Apple has the right ingredients to win in the AI-first landscape.”
