Apple will allow users to choose from third-party artificial intelligence models for tasks like generating and editing text and images across all iOS 27 features. Bloomberg News reported.
The change is planned for iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 in the fall, the report said, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
In iOS 27, Apple is calling this feature “Extensions,” which allow users to choose which AI services they want to use for Apple Intelligence features through the Settings app.
