App Could Bring AI Sticker, Emoji Generation to Google Pixel 9

Google is reportedly working on a new app for the Google Pixel 9 series that will allow users to generate custom stickers using artificial intelligence (AI). The app, called Creative Assistant, is said to bring AI capabilities to the upcoming smartphones. This move is seen as Google’s response to Apple’s Genmoji, a similar AI sticker generation feature announced at the WWDC 2024 keynote.

According to reports, the Creative Assistant app will be exclusive to the Pixel 9 series and may offer users the ability to create custom stickers using generative AI. The app is expected to debut with the Pixel 9 later this year. References to the app have been found in the Android 15 Beta 3 and the Google Dialer application, hinting at its development.

The new app is speculated to have a “remix” option in the Markup app, allowing users to generate stickers using generative AI that can be added to screenshots or images. The package name for the app is said to be “com.google.android.apps.pixel.creativeassistant.”

In addition to the new app, the Pixel 9 series is rumored to include three models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 XL. All three smartphones are expected to be powered by the Tensor G4 SoC and offer AI capabilities. The Pixel 9 XL, in particular, has recently appeared on Geekbench with specs including 16GB of RAM, a motherboard based on the Arm architecture, and a controller. The benchmarks show impressive performance in single-core and multi-core tests.

The rollout of Android 15 Beta 3 by Google brings improved passkey support to the platform as it reaches stability. Additionally, cryptocurrency prices in India have seen Bitcoin rise to $65,000, with most cryptocurrencies showing small but notable gains.
