HPE/Juniper hearing preview. U.S. District Judge P. Casey Pitts of the Northern District of California will hear arguments today on whether to approve, under the Tunney Act, the Department of Justice’s motion to end its settlement in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise/Juniper Networks case.

On March 13, a group of state attorneys general filed their motion to oppose the final settlement, based on evidence about the strength of the original case and irregularity in the deal negotiated between the company’s lobbyists and Justice Department officials above the Antitrust Division.
