Anthropic boss is negotiating with Pentagon again about AI deal

San Francisco | Anthropic boss Dario Amodei is making a final attempt to reach an agreement with the US Defense Department after the breakdown of negotiations last week left his company at risk of being cut out of the military’s supply chain.

According to several people familiar with the matter, Amodei has held talks with Emil Michael, the Defense Department’s undersecretary for research and engineering, to negotiate a contract governing the Pentagon’s access to Anthropic’s artificial intelligence models.
