ANN ARBOR – The local cybersecurity startup Blumira plans to double its workforce in 2021.
The company specializing in automated threat detection and response technologies saw tremendous growth in 2020 after a $ 2.6 million round of funding recruited top security talent with leadership backgrounds at Duo Security, Groundspeed, Censys, DeepField and National Security Agency made it possible.
With a 25-strong team, Blumira plans to double its number of employees by the end of the year, with a focus on hiring additional management positions and expanding the sales and development teams.
Part of Blumira’s success last year can be attributed to the introduction of SaaS applications and migration to the cloud. As businesses continue to work remotely during the pandemic, moving sensitive data and massive workloads to multi-cloud environments requires security solutions that are scalable, easy to use, and affordable.
