Amazon Web Services Announces the Creation of a 5 Week Accelerator in Support of Clean Technology Startups. Applications to the AWS Clean Energy Accelerator is accepted starting today through June 4th. The company will select 10 participants.

Seattle-based cloud and online retail giant works with him Freshwater advisor for the initiative. Freshwater is a Chicago-based venture capital and advisory firm founded in 2013 that has worked with more than two dozen companies to find and partner with tech startups.

Amazon has a variety of accelerator programs such as B. Alexa Next Stage (formerly called Alexa Accelerator); the recently launched AWS Space Accelerator; and the Amazon IP Accelerator, which helps sellers fight intellectual property fraud on its platform.
