Amazon Web Services to Build Underground Sea Cable Between Ireland and Maryland – Inside Towers

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) Web Services (AWS) announced Fastnet, a new transatlantic subsea fiber optic cable system connecting Maryland and County Cork, Ireland, set to be operational in 2028. Fastnet will provide network diversity and resilience, ensuring continuous cloud and AI services even if other cables fail, according to Amazon.
