Amazon Web Services now has 113 compliant services listed on the CISPE Data Protection Code of Conduct Public Register

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced that 113 of its services are now certified compliant with the Data Protection Code of Conduct for Cloud Infrastructure Service Providers in Europe (CISPE). This certification aligns with European Union regulations and demonstrates AWS’s commitment to meeting the highest data protection standards for cloud service providers. The CISPE Code of Conduct is the first pan-European sector-specific code for cloud infrastructure service providers and helps organizations across Europe develop GDPR-compliant cloud-based services.

EY CertifyPoint, an accredited monitoring body, evaluated AWS on May 16, 2024, and audited 104 services. AWS added nine more services to its certification scope in May 2024, bringing the total to 113 certified services. The Certificate of Compliance illustrating AWS’s compliance status is available in the CISPE Public Registry for up-to-date information on certified services. AWS aims to expand the scope of its compliance programs to help customers meet architectural and regulatory requirements.

For questions or comments about AWS’s compliance with CISPE, customers are encouraged to contact their AWS account team.
