Governor Brian Kemp announced on June 9th that it was working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Georgia will educate 5,500 students in cloud computing by 2024.
AWS will work with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE), and the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) to provide the training.
“This partnership with AWS will ensure our citizens have access to innovative education and training to prepare them for technical jobs in Georgia,” said Governor Kemp.
“Georgia’s rapidly growing technology sector and the willingness of the state to quickly meet demand were ideal. The combination of Georgia’s need for more technical training, the innovative educational programs at TCSG, and the leadership at GA DOE’s robust approach to vocational and technical learning in high schools were all catalysts for this collaboration, ”said Kim Majerus, Leader, US Education, said the state and local government at AWS.
