Amazon is planning a store in Galleria Dallas


Amazon plans to open a store later this year in Galleria Dallas, where the company has hundreds of employees next door.

The e-commerce giant is the largest tenant in the Galleria Towers, which is connected to the three-story mall on LBJ Freeway and the Dallas North Tollway. Amazon’s tech hub has been a tenant there since 2014.

The retail space is 4,500 square feet and the renovation costs $ 546,000 according to planning documents filed with the state. The location is on the ground floor of the shopping center.

Amazon and Galleria Dallas declined to comment. According to the files, construction would begin in April and be completed in August.
