Amazon Data Center Hit: Amazon cloud operations in Bahrain reportedly damaged in Iran strike | – The Times of India

Amazon’s cloud operations in Bahrain suffered damages after an Iranian strike, according to a report by Financial Times. A person familiar to the matter also confirmed the incident, however the details still reman limited. The FT report further adds that the Gulf state’s interior ministry said civil defence forces were“extinguishing a fire in a facility of a company as a result of the Iranian aggression,” without naming Amazon directly.The strike from Iran comes days after the Iran’s Revolutionary Guards threatened to target US companies operating in the Middle East, including Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, and others. The ecommerce major has not yet commented on the attack. However, its Amazon Web Services (AWS) facilities in the region have reportedly been struck multiple times during the ongoing conflict.
