Amazon CodeCatalyst is expanding its integration with popular code repositories GitLab and Bitbucket in addition to GitHub. The service streamlines software development by allowing teams to plan, collaborate, build, and deliver applications efficiently, reducing friction in the development lifecycle. With the GitHub, GitLab.com, and Bitbucket Cloud repositories extension, users can manage their development workflows within CodeCatalyst, store workflow definition files alongside code, and trigger workflows automatically. CodeCatalyst Blueprints provide pre-built templates with sample code, CI/CD workflows, and issue tracking capabilities, enabling teams to start projects quickly. Administrators can link their CodeCatalyst space to their chosen repository hosting service and set up personal connections for GitHub. Projects can be created from blueprints and hosted on GitHub, GitLab.com, or Bitbucket Cloud.
Users can add multiple blueprints to existing projects in external repositories to enhance functionality, resources, and governance, supporting parallel management of project elements. The CodeCatalyst Enterprise Tier allows for the creation of custom plans to share within organizations. The service accommodates both single large repositories and multiple specialized repositories, providing flexibility based on project requirements. The new GitHub integration is available in the US West (Oregon) and Europe (Ireland) regions at no extra charge. Users can begin using these features now to streamline their development processes.
