Amazon.com AMZN recently acquired 93 acre property in Westborough to continue expanding its presence in Massachusetts. According to media reports, the $ 65 million property will be converted into a 221,000 square foot distribution center for the e-commerce giant.
Per Worcester Deed Register Records, Amazon, one of the world’s largest e-commerce companies, has acquired the facility from Carruth Capital LLC, a private commercial real estate company in Westborough.
The current building at the site will be demolished and the Amazon Fulfillment Center will be built on the last mile in its place. This plan was proposed by property operator Atlantic Management Corporation and approved by the Westborough Planning Board.
