Allegheny moves to Oracle

Allegheny introduced Oracle, its new enterprise system, this winter to update the software that supports the college’s financial, human resources and grants management operations. The platform change followed nearly three decades of business with software company Ellucian.

“It’s definitely not an IT project,” Chief Information Officer Katrina Yeung said in an interview with The Campus.

“It’s something we’ve struggled with, but it’s really a business process and we want to make sure we recognize everyone’s efforts.”

Allegheny’s Oracle Support website — a resource accessible through GatorHub’s Oracle Cloud widget — named 20 college administrators who coordinated the transition, including in offices such as financial services, human resources, student employment, foundation and corporate relations, the provost’s office and information and technology systems.
