Cindy Warner worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for a little over a year, but remembers one of the most “toxic” work environments she has ever been exposed to.

Warner, 59, a tech executive with 30 years experience, said she faced wage discrimination and that sexism and homophobia are an integral part of corporate culture. she sued the cloud computing company Earlier this year, they claimed white male executives had exposed them to verbal and gender-based discrimination.

Warner, who is gay, claims she was released shortly after the lawsuit.

“I really wouldn’t want my worst enemy to work at Amazon,” she says told The Guardian in this week. She said she aimed to mentor women and participate in efforts to increase corporate diversity and inclusion.
