Tech giant Alibaba, a global Olympic partner, has unveiled its Alibaba Cloud Pin, a digital wearable for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics that enables secure and interactive exchange of contact information.
Designed for broadcasters and media professionals, the pin can either be worn as a badge or on a lanyard and will be used between July 23rd and August 8th at the International Broadcasting Center (IBC) and Main Press Center (MPC).
The development of the cloud pin is just one of the services that Alibaba makes available to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as an official cloud service partner. The tech company also launched OBS Cloud, a broadcasting solution designed to handle the demanding content production and delivery workflows required for the Olympics.
