A senior Australian executive at a $7.2 billion artificial intelligence startup has been charged with assault after a heavy metal band guitarist was allegedly violently attacked at a popular CBD bar.
Timothy Bentley, vice president of sales for the Asia Pacific region at cybersecurity technology company Abnormal AI, faces two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in the Downing Center Local Court on Wednesday.
According to eyewitness reports, the altercation began at the Ramblin Rascal Tavern on Friday, February 13, shortly before The Grand Union, a local band that performs in pubs around Sydney, was due to perform.
