A former executive at a $7.2 billion artificial intelligence company has been fined $3,000 and has criminal convictions recorded after he attacked two musicians on a drunken night out.

Timothy Bentley stood in Sydney’s Downing Center Magistrates Court on Monday as his lawyer failed to persuade the judge that the cybersecurity expert should not leave a mark on his previously clean criminal record.
