The recruiting industry is changing as more candidates and employers embrace artificial intelligence, experts say.
Brodie Shane works in the IT industry and uses AI when applying for jobs.
He said he keeps a “master document” of his employment history, including skills and achievements, which the AI can draw from to create tailored resumes for each job posting.
“I’ve actually been on the other side of this process and seen the tools that some HR departments will use, which is keyword matching,” Mr. Shane said.
“I’m very particular about the prompt I give (the AI) so it doesn’t take away from my experience.”
Recruiters say AI resumes make it “incredibly difficult” to identify good candidates. (ABC News)
Mr Shane said he was not worried about his applications not getting noticed.
“Just knowing that so many places are already using their own version of AI to filter all applicants doesn’t keep me up too much at night.”
he said.
