Deepfake technology accounted for 20% of all biometric fraud attempts, with documented cases of deepfake selfies increasing by 58% in the last year. Fraudsters also use multiple methods to bypass biometric authentication, including providing screenshots, printouts, and using 2D and 3D masks.
