Security teams face an ever-shrinking window of opportunity to detect and respond to cyberattacks as artificial intelligence accelerates the speed and scale of adversary activity.
According to Mike Nichols, global general manager of security at Elastic, attackers can now go from initial compromise to significant system impact in just 11 minutes, creating a new operational challenge for security teams that still rely on manual detection and response processes.
“At this rate, manual playbooks are no longer just slow, they are mathematically impossible,” Nichols said.
