Australia has joined the global rush to attract data center construction, including “hyperscale” centers, to meet the revolutionary and rapidly growing demands of artificial intelligence.
Australian governments just want more and more of these data centers from tech giants like Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services and Anthropic – as well as domestic builders like NextDC, CDC, Goodman and AirTrunk, which was acquired by Blackstone in 2024.
